Biography
Dr. Montessori certified as a specialist in Internal Medicine at UBC and then continued her training as an Infectious Diseases Fellow with a subsequent Research Fellowship with the Canadian HIV Trials Network. Her interests include infections in people who inject drugs, with a special focus on HIV and Hepatitis C. She is currently the Head of Infectious Diseases at St. Paul’s Hospital, Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at University of British Columbia, the Associate Medical Director of the John Ruedy Clinic at St. Paul's Hospital and the Co-Chair of the BC Therapeutic Guidelines Committee for the Treatment of HIV/AIDS.
