Attend the upcoming Joing Heart + Lung Rounds, "Towards TB Elimination: BC and Beyond", featuring speakers Dr. James Johnston, Respiratologist and Evaluation Lead at the BC Centre for Disease Control Tuberculosis Services and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at UBC, and Dr. Jennifer Gardy, Senior Scientist at the BCCDC Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Services and Assistant Professor, School of Population and Public Health, UBC.

About the topic: The WHO End TB strategy aims for an 80% drop in new TB cases by 2030, but with an estimated one-third of the world’s population infected, this ambitious goal will require dramatic innovation in diagnostics, therapeutics, and service delivery. We will highlight how BC is approaching the problem using innovative approaches from big data to genome sequencing.
