CIHR Foundation Grant funds researchers at PHCRI

The recent CIHR Foundation Grant competition funded 63 researchers across Canada. Of these researchers, nine are from BC; two of whom are PHCRI researchers: Dr. Lindsey Richardson from the BC-CfE and Dr. Keith Walley from the Centre for Heart Lung Innovation.

From Evidence to Practice: Transformational research benefits mental health patients at PHC

In 2016, the PHC Mental Health program began a partnership with Dr. Joseph Puyat, a Scientist at the Centre for Health Evaluation and Outcomes Science (CHÉOS), and a team of researchers and health professionals, to assess the care delivered to patients with early psychosis.

The Centre for Health Evaluation and Outcomes Sciences (CHEOS) has launched a new section on their website, “Navigating the Clinical Process: From Ideation to Completion”, to provide guidance and support throughout the clinical research process.

Announcing the 7th Annual PHC Practice-Based Research Challenge

The PHC Practice-Based Research Challenge is an annual competition open to point-of-care PHC staff. The Research Challenge offers research teams the opportunity to work with a mentor to develop a research proposal around a research question. They will learn basic research skills and compete with other teams for funding to conduct a small-scale research project.

Application deadline is February 15, 2017.
